About
Naveen is a forestry and geospatial technology professional focused on forest carbon dynamics, remote sensing, GIS, and spatial modeling. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Natural Sciences at Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT), Canada, where he studies the climate change mitigation potential of forest management in boreal landscapes.
His work links forest ecology, carbon accounting, geospatial analysis, and nature-based climate solutions. He applies forest carbon models, remote sensing data, field inventory information, and spatial decision-support tools to evaluate forest management scenarios, restoration potential, conservation outcomes, land-use change, and ecosystem carbon dynamics.
Across academic, consulting, and international projects, Naveen has worked on forest carbon assessment, restoration planning, GHG emission reduction and removal estimation, field inventory design, remote sensing-based monitoring, and GIS-based decision support.
His broader interests include boreal forest management, peatland carbon, ecosystem monitoring, geospatial artificial intelligence, and open, reproducible tools for forest and climate research.
